PTA Message
Another school year is coming to a close and I am left sitting here asking
where the time went!! My stay at Jackson Park is drawing to a close as we plan a move to the east coast. I have enjoyed working
for all of our children for the past two years, and I am sad that we must leave. Your PTA will continue to be a strong organization
for all children as we make the transition from this school year to the next. I would like to congratulate your PTA officers
for the 2008-09 school year. They are Amy Barkley-President, Tina Sweeney-Treasurer, Tammy Barnett-Secretary. I would also
like to thank all of our volunteers, board members and chairs for all of their hard work this year. You all have made this
such a wonderful experience for me and for that I am truly grateful. I hope that everyone enjoys the warm summer months ahead
and we'll see you in September.

Yearbook Cover Contest News
Yearbook production is complete! Congratulations to Alexis Mathes and Erika Montez for designing the winning
covers for this year's book. Yearbooks are still on sale for $19.00 each but we have a limited number left, so get your order
in soon!
Thank you to Amy Barkley and Tina Sweeney for their assistant with set up and production of the yearbook.
Sixth Grade Promotion Reception
The sixth grade promotion ceremony will be held on June 29th at 9:30
a.m. The PTA sponsors a reception in the library immediately following the ceremony. We are interested in finding just a handful
of people willing to help decorate the library the day before and to serve refreshments at the reception. Please contact Cristin
Emrick at 360-286-0424 if you can lend a hand. Thanks!

Thank you so very much to all of our parent, staff, and community volunteers
this year. Believe me when I say that this year would not have been the same without all your hard work and dedication. A
parent's presence in school is so vital to a child's academic and social well being. While our organization appreciates all
that you do, your children appreciate your committment even more. Thank you again for a fantastic year at Jackson Park Elementary!
